The Likes of Us Musical is on in Bolton

Our very own web designer Matt Wilkinson is appearing in the musical
The Likes of Us being shown in Bolton March 15th – 20th 2010.

The Likes Of Us was written in 1965, as the first collaboration by the award-winning Andrew Lloyd-Webber and Tim Rice partnership, but was not performed until 2005.

Set in Victorian London, The Likes Of Us is a musical based on the life of the medic, Dr Barnardo – a fiery young medical student who gave up his plans to become a missionary in China, when he realised the extent of child homelessness in his own city. It tells the tale of the Irish doctor rescuing tens of thousands of children from poverty.

This led to the foundation of the famous Barnardo’s children’s homes and the organisation that bears his name today.

It is being performed in Bolton by the St Philips Amateur Operatic Drama Society. Who have been busily preparing to stage the musical production this March, next week!
