How to Add Subcategories to the Catalogue

instance of: Antique Catalogue System

To add more subcategories you need to hover over the action menu of the catalogue, click Edit Property Types, click Add New Property Type at the bottom. Filling out Name, Description and Parent Type fields only and clicking update. Choosing the parent type dictates which parent category the new category will become a subcategory of.

When you are creating a new antique product in the catalogue system -  ‘add new antique’ - you will see the subcategories listed in the ‘Antique Type’ dropdown field - this is how you inform the catalogue to place the new antique product into a particular subcategory.
